Impatiens
Frank, author of the “Dutch Goes the Photo” blog (https://dutchgoesthephoto.net) sets a Tuesday photo challenge each week. This week’s topic is: Close-up (https://dutchgoesthephoto.net/2016/08/02/tuesday-photo-challenge-close-up/
I’ve had to cheat as the week has been a tad busy, and my camera hasn’t yet set foot outdoors!! I’ve instead pulled out a few close ups of one of my favourite flowers, Impatiens.

Impatiens – seed pod
I’m a big fan of Dr Bach’s flower essences and a while back I set myself the challenge of photographing every flower used in the essences. Sadly, life got in the way, and I failed to capture all 38 of them, but did manage to take a silly number of snapshots of Impatiens. The flower essence is for helping with impatience, which was quite appropriate as my husband would wait patiently whilst I took YET another shot 🙂

Taking time to focus (my eye and camera) on flowers really helps me to appreciate the intricate detail of Nature and its timeless beauty.
Impatiens always makes me think of this lovely quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson
“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.”

These are gorgeous! Thank you for sharing them with us.

God Judith I love this post and your photos. I’m familiar with Bach flower essences, and impatience is definitely something I work with 🙂 Just being present with your photos and your process with them helped me. Thanks.
And I love Emerson. He’s such a loving presence.
Blessings your way.
